As one of the platforms of a group of candidates, the position of the proposed new Bridge seems to still be high on the agenda.
What I find hard to understand is why our community isn’t as vocal as other townships along the river. There’s a saying “beggars can’t be choosers” and if we want a new bridge, why can’t we be graceful and accept the decision of the powers that be?
Come on silent majority, let’s be a little noisy about it, so that our 116 year old heritage listed bridge is given a rest from heavy trucks and other traffic, and the community across the river is given a decent chance to prosper.
